Portland boasts many vibrant and diverse neighborhoods with numerous restaurants in many distinctive neighborhoods, lively cultural scene, unique shops, and galleries that consistently draw enthusiastic crowds of visitors. To name just a few neighborhoods as examples, the Pearl District is known for its art galleries, Nob Hill is famed for the splendor of its restored Victorian houses - many converted into up-scale boutiques, and Hawthorne is noted for its trend-setting stores and rich nightlife.

Modeled after pedestrian-friendly European cities, Portland is a walkers' paradise. You will find lively discussions and activities in Portland's au courant coffee houses, galleries, bookstores, and friendly brewpubs. One of the best ways to explore the various districts throughout the city is on foot. In fact, Walking Magazine crowned Portland as "one of America's best walking towns."

If you are passionate about cycling, you'll delight in Portland's extensive network of bike paths and the progressive urban policies that have made the city so bicycle-friendly. Bicycling Magazine has honored Portland as the #1 cycling city in America for the second straight year.

Portland is graced by scenic views of Mount Hood, the tallest peak in Oregon's Cascade Mountain Range and enjoys a wealth of parks and open green space - 37,000 acres within the city boundaries. The parks range from the sophistication of formal Chinese Garden, to the heady fragrance of rose gardens, to paths along the waterfront, and even to the urban wilderness of the nearly 5,000-acre Forest Park, a frequent destination for serious hikers and mountain bikers.

For all these reasons and more, I call this wonderful city my home and look forward to working with you!
